These Terms of Service apply to purchases from PrintedSugar and use of our online store. PrintedSugar is a family-run cookie business based in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Please read these Terms together with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. Our cookies and your order
We offer custom photo cookies, custom shape cookies, ready-made printed designs and cookie sets. Available shapes, sizes, quantities and prices are shown on each product page. For individually priced cookies, the minimum is 12 per selected design and variant. Sets are sold by the set; the product page states the number of cookies included.
Check your selected options, quantity, artwork, contact information and delivery address before paying. Product images and digital previews illustrate the design. Minor differences in colour, placement and handmade finish are normal; this does not excuse a defective product or a material difference from your order.
2. Photos, artwork and custom shapes
You must own, or have permission to reproduce, any photo, logo, illustration or other content you provide. You give us permission to use that content to prepare and fulfil your order. Uploaded customer designs are not permission for us to use personal photos in advertising or publish them on social media.
Use a clear, high-resolution image and check the crop shown in the preview. If you order without uploading a photo, reply to your order confirmation email with your artwork. We cannot begin printing until we have the required design information. Delays in providing it can affect the production schedule.
For a custom outline, contact us to agree the shape, dimensions and feasibility before ordering. Any changes to the agreed design, price or schedule require your agreement. We may refuse content that is unlawful or infringes another person's rights. If we cannot fulfil a paid order, we will notify you and refund the affected items.
3. Prices, payment and business orders
Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable taxes and delivery charges are shown at checkout before payment. Payment is due at checkout unless a separate written business-order agreement provides otherwise. Personal purchases, gifts and business orders are welcome.
Volume-order pricing and production times depend on quantity, size, design and delivery requirements. Confirm the quote and production availability with us before committing to a large order or a fixed event date. We will not charge an additional amount or substitute a product without your agreement. If a pricing or availability error prevents us from fulfilling an order, we will contact you and offer a refund for the affected items.
4. Changes and cancellations
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We will check whether production has started and confirm what is possible. Once production has begun, we generally cannot accept a change-of-mind cancellation or design change. This does not affect cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable law. 5. Production, shipping and delivery
We ship within Canada. The delivery options and charges available for your address are shown at checkout. Production time and carrier transit time are separate. Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, estimated dates are not a guaranteed arrival date for an event. Large-order production times must be confirmed directly with us.
Please provide a complete delivery address and check it in your confirmation. If an address needs correcting, contact us promptly; changes may not be possible after dispatch. If a parcel is damaged, delayed or missing, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier and discuss the appropriate resolution. Nothing in these Terms removes your statutory rights concerning delivery or non-delivery.
6. Allergens and storage
Our kitchen handles wheat, eggs, dairy and other potential allergens. We do not represent our kitchen as allergen-free. Contact us before ordering about any allergy or dietary requirement; do not rely on a design image as ingredient or allergen information. Follow the storage and handling guidance supplied with your cookies.
7. Website use and intellectual property
Use the store lawfully. Do not submit fraudulent orders, upload malicious files, misuse other people's information or interfere with the security of the site. Our branding and original website content remain ours; third-party content remains the property of its respective owners. Buying cookies does not grant rights to reuse our branding or someone else's artwork.
8. Shopify and personal information
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which supplies the ecommerce platform. Your cookie purchase is from PrintedSugar. Shopify and other service providers help process payments, store order information and deliver our services. How personal information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy and Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy. Keep account credentials secure and let us know about suspected misuse.
9. Your rights and updates to these Terms
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer right, remedy or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live.
If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. We may update these Terms for future purchases. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
